Ötvenezer fős kivándorlási hullámot kíván elindítani a Roma Civil Szervezetek Választási Szövetsége a Magyarországon az utóbbi időben elszaporodott cigányellenes támadások miatt, a szerdán este Tiszalökön történt gyilkosságra reagálva.

A szövetség arra buzdítja a cigányokat, hogy kérjenek politikai menekültjogi státust az Egyesült Államok budapesti nagykövetségén.


 
"Sem a kormány, sem a rendőrség nem ura a helyzetnek" – nyilatkozott lapunknak Abházi József, a Roma Civil Szervezetek Választási Szövetségének szóvivője. Ezért a szövetség kivándorlásra buzdítja a romákat. Célországként az Egyesült Államokat jelölték meg a roma civilszervezetek, mert mint mondják, az 1956-os forradalom és szabadságharc leverése után is nagy számban menekültek oda magyarok. A politikai menedékjogi státusra vonatkozó kérelmeket szervezetten és minél nagyobb számban kívánják átadni az Egyesült Államok budapesti nagykövetségén, és arra számítanak, hogy ezzel sikerül majd jelentős nemzetközi figyelmet irányítani a kérdésre. Akciójukban segítséget kérnek az amerikai magyaroktól is, mert mint Abházi József elmondta, itthon már tarthatatlannak látják a helyzetet, "nincs, aki garantálhatná a romák biztonságát, nem akarunk több halált, több áldozatot".
